Národní listy 11/3/1863 published news that ‘Přerhof’s Beseda, which due to unforeseen circumstances could not take place today, is postponed until Saturday 14th March. The other three Humoristic Besedas are scheduled on Wednesdays 18th March, 8th and 15th April.’ This beseda series, in 1863 as in previous years, was given in the Konvikt Hall.

Národní listy 17/3/1863 reported of this event: ‘Beseda. Tomorrow, Wednesday 18th March takes place the second Přerhof Humoristic Beseda in Konvikt [Hall]. Begins at 8 o’clock in the evening.’ Fuller details were provided in the next issue of the newspaper on 18/3/1863: ‘Programme to the 2nd Přerhof Humoristic Beseda. The extract from Libušín sňatek [Libuše’s wedding] was most like the aria ‘Kmem mé pejchy v prach se sklání’ [My tribe cast down in the dust]. The so-called ‘Jewish Symphony’ vocal quartet by Haydn cannot be identified.
