Mercy’s Anzeiger 14/7/1854 reported that unless prevented hindered by wind or rain on Monday 17th July there will be arranged on Žofín Island ‘a great musical-pyrotechnic Amusement],’ with fireworks by Mr Hawranek [Havranek] and by popular request his ‘acclaimed firework-tableau from Kladruby [beliebte Feuerwerkstableau aus Kladrub] together with a display of his Kaiser-rockets [Kaiserracketen]. The ensemble of the Royal Infantry Regiment of Archduke Albrecht has undertaken to execute the musical pieces.’

The Vergnügungsanzeiger of Mercy’s Anzeiger 17/7/1854 noted: ‘Today Monday: On the Žofín Islan great musical-pyrotechnic amusement’. No further details were given by the source.
