Tagesbote aus Böhmen 24/2/1854 reported that ‘In this year’s Lenten season will be in Jiránek’s Music Institute 6 musical soirées, namely on the 5th, 12th,19th, 26th March, then on 2nd and 8th April.’

An advertisement for this ‘first musical production of the Music Education Institute of Jiránek’ was published by Mercy’s Anzeiger 4/3/1854. The source announced the date, time, venue and programme of works to be performed. With the exception of the concerto by Bach [specified as being for 3 pianos with orchestral accompaniment], the concertante and orchestral numbers would have been given as duets or in arrangements for multiple pianos.
