Commentary:

Neither specified Dalibor report recorded which items of repertoire were to be given on which of the two evenings. The later review that was published by Dalibor 1/8/1859 made no mention of the overtures previously stated by Dalibor 20/7/1859 as being performed at the examinations, but unlike the earlier announcement it listed specific solo piano works that were played, as well as noting the performers. The Dalibor 20/7/1859 report related only that ‘solos for piano, namely pieces by L. van Beethoven, A. Dreyschock, V. Kuhe, [W.A.] Mozart, S. Thalberg, R. Willmers and others’ were to be performed. The work by Schulhoff may either have been for 4 hands, or for 2 hands and performed separately by the two specified soloists. The review remarked only that ‘Misses M. Ständlerová and M. Strossová [performed] an Idyll by Schulhoff to good effect.’ Other pupils who participated in the concert were listed as Miss M. Demartiniová, Miss M. Odkolková, Miss A. Odkolková, Miss J. Quastová, Miss Čížková, and Miss Bělohoubková. The programme record includes combined details from both of the specified Dalibor sources.
