Kommentar:

Prager Morgenpost 15/9/1861 reported that ‘Today on 15th September at 2pm in the afternoon in the Trinitäts-Kaferne take place the annual examinations for pupils of the Society for the Advancement of Military Music.’ The source then listed the programme in performance order.

A brief, unsigned review was published by Dalibor 20/9/1861. This noted that ‘Pupils of the Military Music School under the energetic direction of Mr Pavlis took part in examinations, at which were present His Excellency the General Count Clam-Gallas and many other high-ranking officers. The examinations turned out very splendidly and the pupils offered evidence that the thorough method of Mr Pavlis is very beneficial to them. His Excellency Count Gallas spoke very favourably about the examinations to Mr Pavlis, and we are in complete agreement [with him].’
