Kommentar:

Also participating in this concert, according to the Dalibor 1/5/1860 report but not mentioned in the later review published in the issue dated 10/5/1860 review, were to be [J.L.] Procházka and Ludwig Slánský. The choir comprised volunteer amateurs and was directed by Eduard Tauwitz. The programme is reproduced in order essentially corresponding with the text of the Dalibor 1/5/1860 report. Although this report clearly detailed the individual numbers of the programme, and related the division of the programme into two parts, the subsequent review appearing in the Czech periodical suggests that the programme order of the concert had changed since the periodical’s previous announcement. Thus, the review noted that the final items of the concert comprised ‘two’ choruses by Marschner followed by a Czech chorus, Svítání [Dawn]. However, Svítání was not listed by the earlier report as being given in the concert. This review also implied that Reichel performed an unspecified Czech song containing the words ‘česká země [Czech land]’ immediately after his rendition of Andreas Hofer. These variations in the programme order from what was specified in the original Dalibor report have not been reproduced on the enclosed list, except for the inclusion into the programme of the chorus Svítání as the final item.
