Mercy’s Anzeiger 29/10/1854 reported: ‘Their Majesties the Emperor Ferdinand and the Empress Maria Anna arrived from the Royal chateau of Ploschkowitz [Ploškovice] and passed on to he Royal Castle on the Hradschin [Hradčany]. In the evening was for the Festival for the Arrival of Their Majesties a great parade performed by the musical ensembles of the Royal Infantry Regiments of Archduke Albrecht and of the Royal 24th Rifles Battalion.’
