The Vergnügungsanzeiger of Mercy’s Anzeiger 15/2/1857 reported ‘Today Sunday... Ball: Konvikt Hall.’ This issue of the newspaper also published a detailed advertisement listing the event, identical with one published a week earlier. The source reported that a ‘Brilliant Ball [glänzender Ball] would be take place in the festively lit Konvikt Hall.’ The orchestra would be that of the Civil Grenadiers Corps under the personal leadership of Mr F. Chrs. Good quality food and drink would be available from the restaurant of the venue. The venue was open from 6 [pm] until the following morning. Advance admission tickets for gentlemen and ladies were available for 30kr from the restaurant and for gentlemen 20kr. Admission at the box office for a gentleman with one lady cos 36kr, without a lady 24kr. No further details were given by the source.
