Mercy’s Anzeiger 7/6/1854 published a detailed account of the visit of Franz Joseph and the Empress Elizabeth to Karlín on 6th June during their stay in Prague. In the large square in the suburb a gallery had been erected and there an ensemble of local school children organized by Chwala [Chvála] greeted the arrival of the Emperor by singing the national anthem.
