Lumír 20/2/1851 reported that this benefit ball would take place in aid of the local Infants and National schools [ve prospěch tamnější opatrovny a národní školy]. One part of the profit would be given to the national school for educational needs, the other for the support of the Infants School. Tickets could be obtained in Karlín from the shopkeepers František Mikulejský and Karel Brože, and from the tinsmith Jos. Branislav Mencl, and from the Infants School at the crossroads.
