• Military Music Institute: participating ensemble

Advance news of this event was published in the Lokalzeitung of Bohemia 8/7/1851. This report noted that a third ‘Sommer-Assemblée’ by the Military Music Society would take place on Wednesday 9th July in Count Waldstein’s Garden. Following the great succes of the second of these events a numerous audience was expected. The event, its date, time and venue, was also listed in the Tagesanzeiger text published by Bohemia 8/7/1851.

This event did not take place, the Tagesanzeiger text published in the issue of Bohemia 10/7/1851 that containing details of events having occurred on 9th July reported that at 5.30pm in the Arena there would be given for the first time in association with Beranek’s circus horse troop an entertainment entitled ‘Der Mauren Treubuch in Granada’. On account of the participation of the musical ensemble of the Imperial Infantry Regiment of Prinz Wasa the planned ‘Musikfest im Waldstein’schen Garten’ was postponed. On 15th July Bohemia reported that the third ‘Sommerassemblée’ would be given on 16th July at that venue.
