komentář:

The Venetian child-prodigy violinist was being heard for the second time in Prague, performing between the acts of Restroy’s farce Der Undedeutende. A review, signed ‘V.’, was published by Bohemia 14/2/1851. This observed that the two works she performed, with their ‘Italian cantilena and over-sweet yet pleasing sentimentality of the Paris salon-composers particularly suits the little virtuoso.’ Her playing, characterized by her ’soulful tone and ... sustained lyricism’ was judged to be far more mature than her age promised, and confirmed the opinions already formed by this critic in the wake of her previous performance. Her technique was also noted as already having achieved a high level. The audience applause was ‘very warm, and she was called after each number. Most of the public regretted that the Theatre bill related that this was the last concert given by this interesting artist [in Prague].’ Finally, the review related that both pieces were accompanied by orchestra.
