Prager Zeitung 20/8/1850 recounted that in the early morning of 18th August cannons were fired to mark the birthday of ‘His Majesty our Emperor’ and musical ensembles of local military regiments paraded playing in the streets. A mass was given in the Týn church and in St Vitus, although no mention was made of musical content.
