The Tagesanzeiger text of Bohemia 25/7/1850 noted that on Friday 26th July, ‘Annafest’ Harmoniemusik would be given on the Žofín Island. No further details of the event were related by the specified source. The Tagesanzeiger text of the following day’s newspaper announced ‘Afternoon on the Žofín Island, Shooters Island and Arboretum: Celebration of the Anna-Festival.’ At the two latter venues musical performances would also certainly have taken place.
