Jan Janák, whose name was incorrectly spelt ‘Jonák’ by the single-line Dalibor report, was noted by the text to have been a graduate of the Prague Organ School. No further details of the performance were given.

News of this event also appeared in Bohemia 8/9/1859, which reported that ‘Today on the [Saints] day of Maria Snows will be performed in the Church of the Holy Ghost a high mass at 11am, the great V. [possibly meaning 5th] D-minor Mass of Joh. Janák. Miss Horák will kindly participate.’ Her rôle, although unspecified, was most likely that of solo vocalist.
