Tagesbote aus Böhmen 1/10/1857 published news of forthcoming religious services to be given to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Prague Seminary Institute for Adult Blind in Bohemia, the ‘Versorgungs- ind Beschäftigungsanstalt für erwachsene Blinde in Böhmen.’ The source noted that there would be taking place in the Church of St Raphael of the Institute an ealy Mass at 8 o’clock, a German festival sermon at 9 o’clock, the celebratory High Mass and the Te Deum at 10 o’clock. In the afternoon at 3.30pm is the Czech festival sermon, then the litany with a Te Deum for the future prosperity of this Institute.’ No specific details were given concerning the musical content of these events.
