The source reported: ‘Yesterday morning took place in the school room of the Society for the Advancement of Military Music, the first semester examination, at which as well as Civilian pupils were also... [pupils from the Royal military music ensembles] performing solo pieces and quartets. Besides the Major General Lord Kucher and the Kapellmeisters of there here-stationed musical military, were also present some notaries from the Civil establishment to express their satisfaction after the examinations to the Society Director Mr Pawlis.’ No further details of the event were given by the source.
