An advertisement for the musical trial to this public ball was published by Mercy’s Anzeiger 4/1/1857 announcing that on ‘Tuesday 6th January will take place the musical trial to Gorski’s [Górski] Society Ball on 11th February on Žofín Island. The ensemble of the worthy Infantry Regiment Baron von Allemann [Alemann] under the leadership of their Kapellmeister Mr Čermak [Čermák] provides the music. Opens 4.30[pm]. Admission 12kr.’ The advertisement was published again in the newspaper on 5/1/1857.

A similar advertisement was published by Tagesbote aus Böhmen 4/1/1857, noting: ‘The musical trial for Gorski’s Society Ball [Gorski’schen Gesellschafts-Ball] on 11th February taking place in the Hall of Žofín Island. Taking place on Tuesday 6th January. Commencing 4.30pm. Admission 12kr.’ The advertisement was repeated in the issue of Tagesbote aus Böhmen 5/1/1857.
