A note of this event appeared in the Tagesanzeiger daily almanac of Prague social and musical occasions published in Prager Morgenpost 13/12/1863. The source noted: ‘Hoted de Saxe musical Soirée.’ The same issue of this newspaper also carried an advertisement announcing: ‘Hotel de Saxe. Today Sunday little Music-Orchestra. [kleines Musik-Orchester]’ No further details were given by this source. The ensemble in question cannot be identified, but from earlier events taking place this month at the venue may have been Petschauer’s Music Society.
