An advertisement for this event was published by Prager Morgenpost 13/9/1863. From its title of ‘Folk-Show [Volks-Schau]’ the occasion evidently had a folk theme as well as involving the attraction then fashionable in the 1863 Prague social-entertainment season of a balloon display. The source announced: ‘Rohan Island. Today great Folk-Show [Volks-Schau] and Ascent of a Colossal Magic-Balloon in the shape of a Gold Dragon. Followed by Garden-concert [Garten-concert] of the Regimental Ensemble of the worthy Royal Infantry Regiment King Wilhelm I. of Prussia. Commencing 4pm.’
