A note of this event appeared in the Tagesanzeiger almanac of daily Prague musical and social events published by Prager Morgenpost 3/8/1863. This noted ‘Examination for pupils of the Music Institute of Mr Jiranek [Jiránek] (on the Žofín Island).’ The parallel Tageschau daily almanac published by the Prague German-language newspaper Politik 2/8/1863 announced: ‘Annual Examination of the Jiránek Music Institute on the Žofín Island at 11.30am.’
