• Kraus's Septet: participating orchestra

Prager Morgenpost 26/4/1863 published an advertisement announcing: ‘„Hotel de Saxe.“ Today Sunday Kraus’s Orchestra.’ No further details of this event were given by this source. The ‘orchestra’ in question was most likely a septet. Subsequent advertisements published in Prager Morgenpost, such as on 3/5/1863, referred to the ensemble as ‘Kraus’s  Septet’. Either the ensemble was always a septet or following its formation as an orchestra reduced in size to become a septet.
