Národní listy 20/1/1863 published an advertisement announcing:
Hostelry [Hostinec]
„At the City of Jerusalem.“
Today and each Tuesday
Dance entertainment. [taneční zábava]
Dance music performed by
JANÁK’S ORCHESTRA
Commencing always at 8pm. Ending after midnight.
At the most courteous invitation of Antonín Menzl, innkeeper.
Interestingly, the event did not specify a cost for admission, a previous entertainment given at the venue by Janák’s Orchestra had charged 50kr, an amount that was expensive by contemporary standards.
