Národní listy 17/1/1863 reported in its section of daily news: ‘Large musical ensemble of „Sokol“ plays today in the Inn of Šáry [Schary]. Programme: 1. Apollo, march by Siede. 2. Amaranth, polka by Straus [Strauss]. 3. Kvapík [Galop] by Preise. 4. Amazonka, quadrille by Straus [Strauss]. 5. Svatební pochod [Wedding march] by Mendelssohn. 6. Češké děvče, polka mazur by Preisler. 7. Concert Fantasie for clarinet, performed Mr Horká, member of the ensemble. 8. Berounská [Beroun], polka by Vinař. 9. Ouverture by Heydinger. 10. Prostocvik [Simple exercise], mazurka by Vinař. 11. Beseda by Heller. 12. Tryskem [Galloping], kvapík [galop] by Vinař.’ A rehearsal of works to be given in programmes by Sokol during the 1863 Carnival season took place on 6/1/1863 in the Žofín Island Hall.

The Sokol orchestra had appeared in Schary’s Beer hall a week earlier on 10/1/1863 performing a similar programme.
