Prager Morgenpost 20/2/1863 reported of this event: ‘Musik soirée. On next Sunday 22nd February takes place the First Soirée musicale [Soireemusikale] in the Music Institute of Mr Peter Maydl. After this will be 5 further soirées taking place on 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 28th March, all at 5pm.’ A similar report appeared in Národní listy 20/2/1863: ‘Musical entertainment [Hudební zábava]. On Sunday 22nd February in the Institute of Mr Petr Maydl will take place the first evening musical entertainment; other entertainments will be 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 28th March.

The Czech-language periodical Dalibor 1/3/1863 reported in its section of music news ‘From Prague’ that the ‘Musical entertainments of Mr Petr Maydl began on 22nd February in his Institute, a total of six arranged and will take place on 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 28th March all at 5pm.
