Der Tagesbote 22/12/1854 reported that ‘The Civil Infantry Corps [bürgliche Infanterie-Corps] arranges again this year in the local Carnival time 5 Reunions, namely on 8th and 15th January and then on 1st, 8th and 13th February. The musical trial takes place on New Year’s Day, the Reunions will be in the Apollo Hall.’ No further details were given by this source. These reunions were annual dance events. Evidently this report was not accurate in noting the dates; on 28/12/1854 Der Tagesbote reported that the reunions given by this ensemble would take place on 18th and 25th January and on 1st, 8th and 13th February in the Apollo Hall. These dates in their revised version were each separated by a week.
Bohemia 24/12/1854 published an advertisement announcing this series of reunions. The source noted the dates of the reunions given by the Royal Warranted Prague Civil Infantry Corps on 18th and 25th January, then on 1st, 8th and 13th February in the Apollo Hall. The cost of subscriptions to the events were then outlined. All 5 events cost 3fl. Individual entrance tickets to the first four reunions cost 40kr each; the final event on 13th February cost 1fl. These tickets could be obtained from: E.F. Schmidt, fabric merchant in the Little Square [Malé náměstí]; F.C. Stöhr, clothes merchant in Bergmannsgasse [Bergmanova ulicé]; L.A. Roll, draper at the Golden Crown in Galliplatz; in the New Town from Mr Czermak [Čermák], Krakauergasse [Krakovská ulice] nr.1362; Aug. Oppitz, Verkaufsgewölbe [Pawnbroker?] in Wenceslas Square [Václavské náměstí]; on the Little Quarter at Mr Michelsin, restaurant of Steinitz. Admission tickets for ladies are also obtainable.’ The advertisement was repeated in Bohemia 28/12/1854.
Mercy’s Anzeiger 30/12/1854 published an ‘Invitation and Public Notice. To the Reunions of the Royal Warranted Prague Civil Infantry Corps taking place in the Apollo Hall on 18th and 25th January, then on 1st, 8th and 13th February 1855.’
