The text also stated that admission cards for gentlemen could be obtained from the restaurateur of the venue, Johann Stuchlý [Jan Stuchlý], and from from the box office on the evening of the event. The Vergnügungsanzeiger of Mercy’s Anzeiger 13/1/1857 announced ‘Today Tuesday... Apollo Hall: Ball.’ No further details were given by the source.
Tagesbote aus Böhmen 14/1/1857 reported that ‘Yesterday a Ball „comme il faut“ in the Apollo Hall, to which fortunately were invited industrious girls, without whom such a ball would have been an impossibility. They were, specifically, young milliners of the city, a beautiful and numerous contingent.’
