Commentary:

Information about this forthcoming event was published by Bohemia 4/12/1851 in a Lokalzeitung report noting that on the day of the church’s patron a high mass would be given at 10am in the parish church of St Nicholas [in the Malá strana - Little quarter]. After relating the works to be given, the source commended the choir director Mustl for performing the ‘masterly work of the now indisputably leading contrapuntist and worthy representative of musica sacra [Pitsch].’

The Tagesanzeiger text of Bohemia 5/12/1851 listed the date and time of this event and noted the performance of the ‘Great Mass in D major by Pitsch’.
