Lumír 7/8/1851 announced that ‘On 17th August the band of Sharpshooters will be arranging a great dance beseda, the clear profit from which will be given to the Infant’s School [Opatrovna].’ No further details of the event were given by the source.

19/8/1851 reported that on ‘Sunday evening - on the eve of the Birthday of the His Majesty the Emperor Franz Joseph - the Civil Sharphooters Corps arranged in the Apollo Hall an elegant ball, the profit from which is destined to an Institute for Infants.
