Regular series of musical entertainments arranged and given by Prague music teaching institutes were a feature of the Lenten season in Prague when dance entertainments were not permitted.

Dalibor 20/3/1859 published news that during the lent period the piano institute of Celestin Müller would give evening musical entertainments on Sunday 13 March, on 20/3/1859 and 27/3/1859, then on 3, 10 and 16 April, all at 5pm. The text noted that details of the programmes would be published following the final entertainment. No further details of the first event given by source. The last of the six entertainments actually took place on 25/4/1859.
