A substantial advertisement for this event was published by Prager Morgenpost 29/6/1863. Comprising musical, aerial acrobatic and dance entertainments, the occasion obviously sought to appeal to a broad section of the general public: ‘Former Count Canal’s now Zdekauer’s Garden. Today great musical-aerostatic Folk-Entertainment [grosses musicalisches aërostatisches Volks-Vergnügen], at which the music ensemble of the Bohemian Gymnastic Society SOKOL [des böhmischen Turn-Vereines SOKOL] under the personal direction of the Kapellmeister Mr Sakař will be participating. At 7 o’clocl Der Blumenregen [The flower rain] or The non plus ultra of the Aerostatic. In the upper Hall Dance-Reunion [Tanz-Reunion]. Commencing 4 o’clock. Further details on the bill poster.’
