News of this event was published by Prager Morgenpost 10/5/1863. A report noted that ‘on the Hetz Island [Hetzinsel] (now the Gross-Venedig Insel) will take place this year, as in previous years, a garden festival’ associated with the restaurant there. On 10th May it was related that the 2 orchestras of the Regimental Ensemble of the Royal Infantry Regiment of Count Gyulai would be performing. This would be followed by a dance entertainment ‘Tanz-Reunion’.

The same issue of Prager Morgenpost published an advertisement announcing: ‘Gross-Venedig Island (formerly Hetz-Insel). Today a great Festival-Arrangement. Marked especially by: Garden Concert [Garten-Concert], performed by 2 orchestras of the Regimental Ensemble of the worthy Royal Infantry Count Gyulai under the personal leadership of the Kapellmeister Mr Strebinger. Followed by Dance-Reunion [Tanz-Reunion], which will take place even in the event of unfavourable weather. Commencing 4 o’clock.’
