Hans Guido von

Bülow, Hans von (1830-1894). German pianist, conductor and composer. Studied law at Leipzig University, but also piano with Wieck there. Developed a career as both conductor and a pianist. At first exclusively a Wagnerian in creative outlook, in later life he developed considerable enthusiasm too for the music of Brahms. He made many European tours as a conductor and pianist, appearing several times in Prague.
