An advertisement was published by Mercy’s Anzeiger 16/12/1854 announcing: ‘On Sunday 17th Dec. this year is performing the entire Orchestra of the worthy Royal 24th Field-Rifles Battalion, 50 men strong, under the direction of Kapellmeister Wenzel Staniek in the specifically decorated [for this occasion] Václav Spa Hall.’

The Vergnügungsanzeiger of Mercy’s Anzeiger 17/12/1854 reported ‘Today Sunday... In the Václav Spa Hall Music of the 24th Rifles Battalion’. No further details were given by this source.
