An advertisement was published by Mercy’s Anzeiger 28/10/1854 announcing: ‘Sunday 29th October, as well as following Sundays and Festival Days the Musical ensemble of the Royal 24th Field Rifles Battalion will perform several felicitous music pieces in the Hall of the Restaurant-building in the Royal Bohemian Estates Arboretum. Commencing at 3pm.’ This advertisement was repeated in the following day’s issue of Mercy’s Anzeiger.

The Vergnügungsanzeiger of Mercy’s Anzeiger 10/12/1854 reported ‘Today Sunday: In the Royal Estates Arboretum-Hall Music’. No further details were given by this source. Although the participating ensemble was most likely that of the 24th Field Rifles Battalion, as specified in the original advertisment outlining this series, the Vergnügungsanzeiger related that the band was playing on that day in the Václav Spa Hall. Although it is possible that the two events occured at different times and that the 24th Rifles played in both, there remains the possibility that another ensemble was playing at the Arboretum.
