Národní listy 24/9/1862 published news of this event, reporting: ‘Requiem. On Thursday, 25th of this month at 10am will be given a festive solemn religious service [slavnostné smuteční služny Boží - a Requiem] in the church [chapel] of St Rafael at the Institute for the Accomodation and Employment of Adult Blind, for the late city Provost Václav Count Václavíčka. The deceased was the oldest [remaining] member of that Institute.’
