The unsigned Národní listy report praised Ulm for his choice of sacred music, noting that only with the exception of some other local churches, was one able to hear a performance of such a work by a foreign or native composer that was ‘so well chosen and so scrupulously executed.’ The critic asserted that ‘this testifies not only to the good taste of the aforesaid director, but also to his assiduity and extraordinary zeal.’
