The Národní listy 17/1/1861 noted only that the Gymnasium celebrated 'yesterday about 8 o'clock for the late Váceslava Haňka a requiem, which was sung by His Eminence Canon V. Štulc.’ The participation of the school itself in the performance was not noted.
