• Feix's Sextet: participating ensemble

The Vergnügungsanzeiger of Mercy’s Anzeiger 19/3/1857 noted: ‘Today Thursday... [Restaurant] at Fáf’s [u Fáfů] Dumpling festival and sextet [Klöseschmaus und Sextet].’ An advertisement was published in this issue of the newspaper announcing ‘Beer Hall u Fáfů, Korngasse [Žitná ulice] Nr. 186-2. Each Thursday Smoked meat- and Dumpling-festival [Selchfleisch- und Klöse-Schmaus], at which Feix’s Sextet will perform favourite compositions.’ The text also related that the venue sold a fine selection of beers and delicious food at the best prices. The event was to commence at 6pm. No further details were given by these sources.
