A review, signed ‘B.’, of this event was published in the section Prager Theater of Bohemia 10/5/1851 describing in detail the performances of declamations and sketches given by the actor and comedian. The source related that the Akademie included the two musical items specified herein, although the correspondent declined to comment upon their success given that he was not a music critic.

Whether this event was given on 6th May or 7th May cannot be ascertained from the Bohemia source. On 6/5/1851 the Tagesanzeiger text of the newspaper stated that Saphir was to give an Academy in the Estates Theatre on that evening. He was not scheduled to appear at that venue on 7th April. However, the above review texts gives 7th May as the date of the performance.
