Kommentar:

This event was first noted in the newspaper Prager Morgenpost on 5/10/1858 and 6/10/1858 in an advertisement stating that a Fest-Reunion would be held on 6/10/1858 in the Apollo Hall and would be repeated the following Wednesday. The first of these two productions was reported as being part of the Prague Kirchweihfest, a seasonal local fair originating in the consecration of the main Prague church. By the following week this fair had probably ended; the later Prager Morgenpost 13/10/1858 advertisement links the entertainment with no such external event. Moreover the event on 13/10/1858 is described as a ‘Tanz-Reunion’ and not a ‘Fest-Renuion’, although there seems little doubt that the two were similar in content. This later text related the same admission prices of 20kr and 24kr were charged as at the earlier event, dependent upon whether entrance tickets were bought in advance or at the door. Ladies would be admitted without charge. The production commenced at 7pm.

Contemporary issues of Bohemia on 10, 12 and 16/10/1858 suggest that the regularly performing ensemble at these events given on Wednesdays in the Apollo Hall was Walesch’s Orchestra.
