The Prager Morgenpost 1/1/1860 advertisement related that the venue had been specially prepared and decorated for this New Year Festival event, ‘Großes Capital-Spectakelfest’ [Greatest Capital-Spectaclefestival]. The entertainment began at 5pm and included a three-part programme of music performed by the specified military ensemble under the title ‘Eine Dosis zum Kranklachen und Gesundwerden’ [A Dose of Poison and Medicine]. At 11pm the entertainment continued as ‘Wechsel des neuen Jahres’ with bell playing and a specially composed theatrical scene. This was followed by a performance of Invalide, a ‘favourite comic scene with song and music.’ The entertainment was stated to be ending at midnight. Admission cost 20kr per person.
