Kommentar:

A brief resumé, signed ‘Egs.’, of this event was published by Tagesbote aus Böhmen 30/1/1858. The correspondent reported that ‘The members of the Artistic-Typographic Institute of Carl Bellmann arranged, as they have for several years now, a Festival Ball on 27th January for the nameday of its Chief, the brilliant and excellent arrangements for which surprised every visitor. The beauty of the gathering of young ladies contributed not a little to delights and pleasures of the ball for all participants, and the executive of the Ball are deserving of gratitude for the dance programme, which included the latest and most interesting pieces, performed by the orchestra of the Royal Infantry Regiment [of Baron] von Wenhardt with precision and authority.’ No further details were given by this source.
