Kommentar:

Prager Morgenpost 24/7/1863 published a list of important church service events taking place the following day to celebrate the Saint’s day of St. James. In the Minorite church of St James in the Old Town Quarter sermons were given at 6.30am in Czech by the Dominican priest Candidus Ruth, and at 10am in German by the Franciscan priest Clemens Jäger. The source then related that ‘The High Mass (at 11am) is celebrated by the reverend Canon and Rector of Týn, Heinrich. There will be performed a Missa solennis [solemnis] in C major by Mozart as well as a Graduale and Offertorium by Brixi.’ A sermon would also be given in Czech at 4pm and would be followed by vespers. The work by Mozart was most likely K337.
