Advance news of this event was published by Národní listy 13/3/1863, reporting: ‘Entertainment. On Sunday 15th March will take place in the Hall on Střelecký Island a musical, singing and declamatory entertainment in aid of the benefit fund for ill journeyman-tailors. – Commencing at 6 o’clock.’

A notice was published by Národní listy 19/3/1863 from the committee of the fund for journeyman-tailors announcing the success of the above event: ‘Public announcement of thanks. Clear profit of 115zl 60kr was obtained from the beseda taking place on 15th March to benefit ill journeyman-tailors on Střelecký Island. The below signed committee have the pleasure to announce publicly their thanks to donors who have contributed to this cause, in particular the honorable president Mr Ritíř, elder master tailor, who gifted 5zl to the above cause, then Mrs A. Justová, innkeeper on Střelecký Island, the esteemed lady whose contribution not only of 5zl but also of inexpensive food and drink for the musicians and singers contributed not a little to the splendid success of the enterprise - in the name of all journeyman-tailors of Prague, the warmest thanks. In Prague 18th March 1863.’
