Kommentar:

A brief review of this event was published by Bohemia 17/2/1863. The unsigned critic noted: ‘(Ball.) On 14th [February] the personnel of the Royal Court Printers of Gottlieb Haase and Son arranged in the Konvikt Hall a friendly Ball Festival [Ballfest]. The Hall was tastefully decorated with white and red, and adorned with green bouquets and with statues. The entertainment was pleasant and casual [gemüthliche und ungezwungene], and the dance performances were enhanced substantially through the quite excellent music (played by the Regimental Ensemble of the King of Prussia’s Infantry). To a repeated ripple of applause the dances were splendidly led by the orchestra. The Ball Admission cards, as well as the programmes for the ladies were also no small a masterpiece of colourful lithography.’

The review gives no indication of whether this review was open to the public or was an exclusive event to members of the publishing house of Haase.
