Národní listy 14/12/1862 reported that ‘In the Konvikt Hall is today a musical festival at which will participate besides the great string musical ensemble of the Regiment of King Vilém [Wilhelm] of Prussia, also the excellent gypsy ensemble of Jan Rigó from Balass Gyarmot in their national costume.’ No further details of this event were given by this source.

Bohemia 14/12/1862 reported in its section of local news that ‘At today’s music production in the Konvikt Hall will feature, besides the musical ensemble of the Royal Infantry Regiment of King Wilhelm of Prussia, the here-present Gypsy Band of Johann Rigó in national costume.’ The Tagesprogramm of that issue of Bohemia also noted: ‘4pm: Music-production in the Konvikt Hall’. A large advertisement also appeared in this newspaper, billing grandly the ‘Music-Production’ as
