Carlo Alfredo Piatti

Piatti, Carlo Alfredo (1822-1901). Italian violoncellist, teacher and composer. From the middle-1830s he became established as one of the leading ’cellists of his day, travelling and performing throughout Europe. He later settled in London where he performed as both a soloist and chamber musician, taught and composed.
