Carl Friedrich Zöllner

Zöllner, Carl Friedrich (1800-1860). German conductor and composer. Musical education from his father and then (1814) onwards from the Thomasschule in Leipzig, in which city he remained for the rest of his life. In addition to teaching music privately he worked locally as an organizer and conductor of Liedertafel and male voice choral societies. He composed numerous secular vocal works, many of which were published.
