Teršák Trzák
Terschak, Adolf (1832-1901). Czech flautist and composer. According to Bohemia 4/12/1860 born in Prague but left the city aged 8, travelling first to Romania. He studied at the Vienna Conservatoire, graduating in 1852, and then toured widely in Europe. By 1860 he had performed in England and in Puerto Rico. His substantial output of compositions for the flute included technical studies that still form part of the instrument’s didactic repertoire.
